Hospice Care in Westchester and Putnam celebrated the start of their 9th Annual Tree of Life event at the Holiday Inn in Mount Kisco on Wednesday, November 29th. The event featured a beautiful tree lighting ceremony with festive music provided by the Fox Lane High School Chamber Choir and the Horace Greeley High School Madrigal Choir.
During the event, Hospice Care was presented with a check for $6,585 by the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 16 and Ladies A.O.H., Division 16. Each year, since 1992, the A.O.H., Division 16 has conducted a collection at area churches on behalf of Hospice Care and other regional community organizations.
“The Holiday Inn has, once again, generously extended the invitation to Hospice Care to host our Tree of Life event,” commented Rose Rosenberg, V.P. for Hospice Care. “The excellent staff at the Holiday Inn keep the tree and memorial doves up all season long to honor the loved ones of our hospice families and for that we are thankful. We are equally as thankful to the A.O.H. for their generous check in support of Hospice Care. Their continued support has made a real difference for the patients and their families served by Hospice in Westchester & Putnam counties.”
Hospice Care in Westchester and Putnam extends a special thank you to the sponsors who make our 2006 Tree of Life events possible:
