Women’s Tennis Competes At ITA Eastern Regional

Sarah Giles-Madden and Brooke Jones represented the Army women’s tennis team this weekend at the ITA Eastern Regional in Hanover, N.H. Giles-Madden competed in the singles draw then teamed with Jones for doubles play.

Giles-Madden was given a bye in the opening round, but then fell to Sasha Abraham of Penn State, 6-1, 6-1, in the round of 64.

Giles-Madden and Jones faced the Rhode Island duo of Val Chacon and Lara Maurer in the first round. The Army tandem fell in a hard fought match, 8-5.

The Black Knights are now off until they open the spring portion of their schedule on Jan. 20, 2007. Army will kick-off its dual-match season with a trip to Boston University.
