(Beacon) - The city recently held a weekend of Halloween festivities. On the evening of Friday October 27 the Halloween ball was held at The Howland Cultural Center. The following day Saturday, most of the cities merchants stayed open late and citizens were encouraged to come out in costumes and shop.
Also on that Sunday hundreds of city residents marched up Main Street in the annual Halloween parade that was held at 1 p.m. They were interspersed by a grouping of Classic and antique cars. The wind did not slow down these revelers.
