Coach Bayno holds true to his word

During the Summer, Hoops Express, Inc. hosted the Orange County Invitational Basketball Camp facilitated by Portland Trailblazer Coach Bill Bayno. During the intensive 4 day camp, players were both challenged on the court and in life.As a result, Coach Bayno made an offer to invite 5 camp participants to visit him in Portland , Oregon. True to his word, the players that showed consistent improvement and a commitment to uphold the goals set during the camp spent 3 days visiting Portland, meeting players and getting to see what goes on behind the scenes at a professional basketball game.Participants also visited the campus of Portland State University. Coach Bayno has also extended his offer to the girls who attended the camp and will be visiting Portland in the spring.As a result of the success of the Orange County Invitational Basketball Camp, Newburgh basketball players have received unofficial visits from schools such as Manhattan College, Sacred Heart College, Morgan State University and other Division One Colleges.Participants are Terry Coleman, Curtis Diuedonne, Quillar Marion, Justin Reddy and Jeffrey Ryan, pictured with Portland Traiblazer’sForward Darius Miles (left) and Coach Bill Bayno (center).Plans are currently underway for Hoops Express, Inc to host two additional camps during the summer of 2007.
