
Farm-fresh ears of corn were cooked for everyone at the festival to enjoy. There were also many other vendors selling pottery, tie-dyed clothing, jewelry, t-shirts and lemonade. Various informational booths were also set up.
The Green Teen Project was on hand selling vegetables that were grown at the City of Beacon’s Common Ground Project. The youth involoved in the project were taught various farming tecniques.
Pictured above is the Corn Festivals co-founder, Pete Seeger, performing in a “mini” concert during the festival, singing the traditional Black spiritual songs of the Old South.
